The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was recognized on August 14, 2019 by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police for first place in the Sheriff 101-250 sworn category in the Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge. On late Tuesday morning the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was called to a wooded area south of Barnard Mill Road to assist McHenry Police Department with a missing person investigation. WOODSTOCK, ILLINOIS- A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) will arrive Monday, July 29, 2019 to examine all aspects of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office’s Communications Division policy and procedures, management, operations and support services.
