On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force (which includes members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department and the McHenry Police Department) was contacted by the City of McHenry Police Department in regards to a large quantity of narcotics located within 4006 Oak Ave, Apt 3E, McHenry Illinois during a well-being check.
The McHenry County Narcotics Task Force responded to the scene and initiated a narcotics investigation. As a result of the narcotics investigation, the McHenry County Narcotics Task Force seized approximately 66.5 pounds of cannabis products, 112 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 50.7 grams of cocaine, two (2) AR-15 style rifles, and a 9mm pistol. As a result of the contraband located and seized, Liam P. Keegan and Jade D. McGuire were arrested and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
Subsequent to the initial investigation, Michael Strauss and Austin T. Hird were identified as being involved in the narcotics activity that occurred at 4006 Oak Ave, Apt 3E, McHenry, Illinois. On February 14, 2022, arrest warrants were issued for Strauss and Hird for narcotics related crimes.
