On February 7, 2022, at 9:33 a.m., McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Harvard Fire Protection District, and Woodstock Fire Rescue District responded to the 17000 block of Streit Road, in unincorporated Harvard, for a single-vehicle rollover crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2009 Ford Ranger, driven by Victor Meuch, 76-years-old, of Wonder Lake, was traveling west on Streit Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle drove off the south side of the road and rolled over. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The investigation is ongoing by McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Investigation Unit and McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
