McHenry County Sheriff’s Office announced it made 3 DUI arrests and issued 22 seat belt citations during the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period. The Sheriff’s Office also issued 65 citations for speeding, 8 citations for unlawful use of an electronic communication device, 13 operation of uninsured motor vehicle citations, 1 driving while license revoked citation, 1 no valid drivers license citation, 4 suspended registration citations, and 29 other citations for various violations.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.
The safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
