A 75-year-old Itasca man has been charged with murder in relation to a death investigation in unincorporated Harvard on December 13.
On December 13, at about 4:45 p.m., members of McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, McHenry County Conservation Police Department, and Harvard Fire Protection District responded to a check for wellbeing in the 4500 block of Island Road in unincorporated Harvard.
Upon arrival, police located a deceased adult female with a gunshot wound as well as an injured adult male, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The male, identified as Silvano Perri, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later transported to McHenry County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing by McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
