McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Post #056 is a hands-on program open to young men and women between 14 and 20 years old, interested in a career in law enforcement or related fields. The program offers young adults the opportunity to learn about the criminal justice system through real-life training and experiences.

Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism. Those who wish to join must be in good scholastic standing and pass a criminal background check.
