A 35-year-old Harvard man has died after a single-vehicle crash near Harvard this morning.
At approximately 6:56 a.m., the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, McHenry County Conservation Police, Harvard Fire Protection District, and Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District responded to the 19000 block of Hebron Road in unincorporated Harvard for reports of a single-vehicle crash.
A 1997 GMC Sierra was traveling eastbound on Hebron Road, east of US Route 14, when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. The truck then hit a utility pole and flipped over, landing on its roof. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
