A man was left seriously injured after an altercation near Union on Wednesday, June 4.
At approximately 6:53 p.m., the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched for an injured person near the intersection of Dunham Road & E Coral Road in unincorporated Union. Marengo Police Department, Harvard Police Department, and Marengo Fire & Rescue District also responded.
Upon arrival, responding deputies learned that a physical altercation occurred between two individuals. During this altercation, a male subject was struck with a blunt object and received serious injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital and remains in stable condition. The suspect was arrested and charged.
