On July 1, 2022, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with Kane County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Andreas Rendas, age 21 of Elgin, for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.
On July 1, 2022, Investigators from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force and Kane County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group conducted a joint operation involving illegal narcotics being purchased via social media. Investigators were able to purchase illegal narcotics from Rendas and execute a search warrant at his residence. At the time of the investigation, Rendas was on probation and did not possess a FOID card. Rendas was charged in Kane County and taken into custody at Kane County Jail.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of the following items:
- 39 Oxycodone Pills
- 472 units of LSD
- 66 grams of cocaine
- 9 Vyvanse pills
- 1,026 THC vape cartridges
- 472 grams of cannabis
- 273 grams of THC edibles
- 140 grams of THC wax
- 2,200 grams of liquid Codeine
- 37 Hydrocodone pills
- 5 Carisoprodol pills
- 34 grams of psilocybin
- 1,209 Alprazolam pills
- 10 Concerta pills
- 40 Escitalopram Oxalate pills
- 32 bullets
- 3 pistols
- 1 stolen revolver
- A money counter
- Drug packaging materials
- Approximately $11,000 in United States currency
Due to the joint and cooperative effort from both agencies, Rendas was lodged on 25 felony charges and confined.
