SEASONAL PART - TIME MARINE UNIT DEPUTY
SALARY:
$18.60 per hour
HOURS:
Various 8 hour shifts
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Certified Police Officer - Current or recently retired
Law Enforcement Officer
Must pass a background check and medical physical
Willingness to work a minimum of six (6) to eight (8) shifts per
month
JOB SUMMARY:
McHenry County Sheriff's Office is seeking applicants for Marine
Unit Deputy. The positions are available to work various 8 hour
shifts during the months of May through October.
JOB FUNCTION:
The McHenry County Sheriff's Marine Unit is responsible for general
patrol and enforcement of the Boat Registration and Safety Act to
insure the safety of all recreational boaters within McHenry
County's jurisdiction. The Marine Unit patrol is seven days a week
and consists of various eight (8) hour shifts per day. The Marine
Unit patrols the Fox River Waterway from the Algonquin Dam to
Pistakee Lake. Upon hire, necessary training and uniforms
will be provided.
