Press Release- Sheriffs Office Investigates Motorcycle Traffic Crash

A 53-year-old Harvard man was hospitalized Saturday evening in critical condition after being transported by ambulance from the scene of a single vehicle crash that occurred at 6:51 p.m. in the 15000 block of McGuire Road in unincorporated Harvard. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was operating a 2000 Harley Davidson and traveling eastbound on McGuire Rd at 6:51 p.m. when for unknown reasons the motorcycle went out of control, rolled over, and ejected the driver. The driver was transported to the Mercy Harvard Hospital by Harvard Fire Protection District and later flown by Life Flight to Rockford Memorial Hospital. 

An investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Traffic Crash Investigations Unit.  The cause of the crash is still under investigation.  Members of the Harvard Fire Protection District and the McHenry Conservation Police Department also assisted at the scene.
